homework

Choose the three most important grammar points for you and then have a quick chat about the following questions:
1. Which of the grammar points you have problems with are more important for a> writing
b>speaking c>both
My answer: a>. It doesn't matter to make mistakes in speaking, as long as you can make sure other people could understand you.

2. Do you think that doing lots and lots of grammar ecercises is the best way to improve your grammar?
My answer is NO. Most of times, the grammar exercises are departed from the essay, for example, you would make grammar mistakes when you are writing an essay, although you could do any exercises correctly.

3.Can you think of any other activities that you could do without having to pick up a grammar book?
My answer: Listening to the teacher carefully when they are showing the grammar, reading more books to establish your own feeling of good grammar, that is to say, when you face a grammar problem, you can judge it by your feeling which is the best answer, and then give your choice. Sometimes the grammar book is more guideline than practise.

4.How do you think you've learnt the grammar you already know well?
My answer: More listening and reading + a little bit exercise (learning rules is more important)

In my point of view, what's I need to focus on is some kind of collocations and phrasal verbs which make me confused most of the time. It will be highly appreciated if I could learn more at class in these areas.
